Born and raised in Pordenone, Italy, Carlo has always been a curious soul with the desire to experiment and create. In high school he chose to attend technical classes that allowed him to understand the mechanisms and functioning of "things", then he pursued his studies at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Trieste.
While studying he discovered the art of Design which perfectly combined creativity and technical skills.
In 2013 he designed first clock: Woodclock.
Why clocks? Partly because they remind
him of his grandfather’s clock collection – which fascinated him so much during his childhood – and partly because he feels these objects decorate and fill in walls in an unexpected way.
The core of Carlo’s design concept is refined simplicity and clean lines. He has chosen to use mainly wood for his works: an ancient material, whose different pieces always have something unique to tell due to their different grain and colour shades.
The great passion he puts into creating new objects is what distinguishes his work.
